Left-Handed Cutting Direction
Unlike standard carbide bits, 14236 has a reversed cutting direction. Its cutting edges are oriented counterclockwise, creating a mirror-image geometry designed for left-handed operation. This allows the bit to cut the material in the appropriate direction when working with a left-handed e-file setup.
Green Coarse Cross-Cut
The green marking indicates a coarse cut. The large cross-shaped teeth are designed for active material removal, making this bit suitable for dense coatings and procedures where a significant amount of artificial material needs to be removed efficiently.
How to Use
Insert the bit into a compatible e-file handpiece and use the rotation direction intended for left-handed operation. Select the speed according to the material and procedure and work with controlled, continuous movements.
The coarse green cut is intended primarily for artificial materials and thickened areas. Avoid aggressive filing directly on the natural nail plate.
Disinfection & Sterilization
Disinfection:
- After use, place the carbide bit into a suitable disinfectant solution. The concentration and exposure time should follow the instructions of the selected disinfectant.
- Clean the working surface from product residue and filings using a nylon or brass bur-cleaning brush.
- For more effective cleaning, the use of an ultrasonic cleaner is recommended.
- Rinse the bit under running water, followed by distilled water.
- Remove excess water with a clean, dry towel.
Sterilization:
Autoclave: Place the cleaned and dried bit into a sterilization pouch and seal it before placing it in the autoclave.
Sterilization cycle: 132°C, 2 bar, 20 minutes.
Dry heat sterilization: Place the cleaned and dried bit into a dry-heat sterilizer.
Sterilization cycle: 180°C, 60 minutes.
